Cookie Policy
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, remember preferences, and measure how they are used.
2. How we use cookies
We split cookies into two categories: strictly necessary (always on) and analytics (off by default). We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies.
Strictly necessary
| Name | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Maintains your session while you use the site (e.g. to keep a form submission state). | Session |
| onsync_consent | Stores your cookie consent choice so the banner is not shown again. | 12 months |
| csrf_token | Protects forms from cross-site request forgery attacks. | Session |
Analytics (only if you opt in)
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes unique visitors anonymously. | 2 years |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics 4 | Persists session state for GA4. | 2 years |
Analytics cookies are not set unless you consent via the cookie banner. IP addresses are anonymised before being sent to Google.
3. How to manage your preferences
You can change your choice at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the footer of every page.
You can also block or delete cookies via your browser settings. Note that blocking strictly necessary cookies may break parts of the site (forms, consent state).
4. Third-party cookies
We do not currently embed third-party content (such as social media widgets, YouTube, or maps) that set cookies. If this changes we will update this policy and the banner before enabling it.
5. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as we add or remove tools. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the current version.
